A Little About Our History
About
Westdale Immigration Consulting is led by Veronica Sepehr (RCIC, PhD). The name "Westdale" is inspired by a neighbourhood near McMaster University in Canada, where Veronica had her first date with her now husband, who was also an international student at the time. They first met at a "How to Immigrate to Canada" session led by the university.

What is included in a consultation?
Our consultation includes an assessment of your eligibility for various Canadian immigration programs and a thorough review of your specific case or issue. For a 30-minute consultation, we provide a focused assessment, and recommendations based on current immigration regulations.
A 60-minute consultation offers a more comprehensive review, allowing for a deeper exploration of your situation. During your appointment, we will answer any questions you may have. You will also receive a personalized follow-up email summarizing your appointment and outlining potential next steps. See book a meeting for more details (include link to go to book meeting tab)
I have a simple question. Do I still need a 30-minute consultation?
You can visit IRCC's Help Centre to find answers to common questions: IRCC Help Centre. If you can't find an answer there, email us at [email protected]. We can advise whether your question can be answered with public information or if a consultation is needed.
What does representation mean?
Representation means that after a consultation, you may choose to retain us to fully handle your application. Some individuals submit their applications independently, while others prefer to work with a professional to avoid potential pitfalls.
If you decide to retain our services, we will review the retainer agreement together, ensuring you understand the responsibilities of all parties involved. Westdale Immigration Consulting, services are governed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC) in Canada, ensuring the protection of your rights.
I have seen other RCICs giving free consultation sessions. Why do you charge?
We charge for consultations because we value our time and our clients’ time. Free consultations often serve as a marketing strategy and may not provide the depth or tailored advice needed for prompt and critical situations. At Westdale Immigration Consulting, we ensure thorough preparation for each initial consultation. If you retain our services after the consultation, the fee paid for the initial session will be deducted from the representation fee. This does not apply to discounted consultations.
I don’t have a credit card to book online. Do you offer alternative forms of payment?
Yes, we offer alternative payment methods like PayPal or E-Transfers. For more information on payment options, please email us at [email protected]. We aim to make the payment process as smooth as possible for you.
Do I need to hire a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC)?
You don't necessarily need to hire an RCIC to help with your application. You can choose to file your immigration application yourself. However, hiring an RCIC can be beneficial, especially if you find the process difficult or confusing, or if you have had previous applications refused due to errors or incomplete documentation. RCICs have in-depth knowledge of Canadian immigration laws and procedures and RCICs carry errors and omissions insurance.
Those who completed their education through Queen’s University have undergone rigorous training and review. They are well-versed in various immigration programs and required paperwork and documents, providing tailored advice based on current laws and requirements. Ultimately, RCICs can ensure your application is accurate and complete, assess its strengths and weaknesses, and offer strategies to present your best case.
